FINE CHIPPENDALE MAHOGANY SIDECHAIR. 18th century. With vasiform splat, shell carved crest rail, exaggerated ears, delicate cabriole legs terminating in stocking ankle trifid feet with stepped seat rail. Philadelphia 1760-1780. SIZE: 40″ T x 17-1/4″ to top of seat rail. CONDITION: Very good original condition. All original. Missing one glue block. Age slip seat frame undetermined due to upholstery. Evidence inside seat rails of early tack history upholstery. Chair retains old, if not original, finish. 9-92127 (2,500-3,500)
