AMERICAN HISTORICAL CREAMER. This 2 transfer political creamer was manufactured for Robt H. Miller, Alexandria, DC (Virginia). The transfers include a portrait of William Henry Harrison surrounded by flags. One reads “THAMES” and other reads “TIPPECANOE” with a banner beneath that reads “HARRISON & REFORM”. The other transfer is a log cabin with an inscription on the door that reads “TO LET IN 1841”. The base is marked to the manufacturer. Transfers are purple and the highlights are copper lustre. This creamer was produced for the election of 1840 and was ordered by well-known Alexandria, DC Virginia merchant Robert Miller. Much research has been done into this early southern entrepreneur.
