AMERICAN HISTORICAL / POLITICAL PITCHER. The pitcher has a buff colored body with pink lustre highlights. It has two transfers, the first being an American Eagle with 15 stars above and a banner reading “PLURIBUS UNUM”. The other side has a portrait of Fisher Ames seated. Fisher Ames was a notable politician from the First Congressional District of Massachusetts. He was born in 1758 and died in 1808. His term of office stretched from 1789 – 1797. He was a noted Federalist, lawyer and graduate of Harvard University. SIZE: 5″ h x 3-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: From a private New Jersey collection.
