CIRCA 1805 LIVERPOOL PITCHER. A three transfer Liverpool creamware historical pitcher. The first transfer is entitled “WASHINGTON IN GLORY” “AMERICA IN TEARS” and depicts a memorial scene with a profile portrait of George Washington and the inscription “Born Feby 11, 1732 Died Decr 14, 1799”. The other side is a transfer of Washington surrounded by the goddess’ of Liberty and Justice with the American flag and Liberty cap surrounded by a ribbons listing all the current United States. Under the spout is a transfer with the original owners initials “JD” in script. SIZE: 9-1/4″ H x 4-3/4″ W. CONDITION: Generally near excellent with a tiny 1/4″ rough spot on the inside of the lip and a manufacturing flaw in the decoration on the outside of the lip. This flaw does not affect the body of the jug, only the black decoration. 9-90553 (1,000-1,500)
