COUNTRY HEPPLEWHITE TWO DRAWER WORK TABLE IN RED PAINT. First quarter 19th century, probably Connecticut or Rhode Island. This pine, chestnut and maple example with single board pine top and hinged conforming leaves above the conforming fitted cabinet fitted with two graduated drawers raised on slender tapering legs. SIZE: 19″ w x 18″ d x 27-3/4″ h with 9″ leaves. CONDITION: Retains original red paint, now with thin crusty varnish overcoat and with original turned knobs. Otherwise very good. 9-92083 (800-1,200)
