PAIR OF 18TH CENTURY DELFT WALL PLAQUES.

Late 18th century. Each plaque has a border with a cherub on each side supporting a scallop shell. The central motif is an urn of flowers, the urn is flanked by 2 larger flowers. Both cobalt and manganese decoration are used, the manganese being confined to the border. SIZE: 8-3/4″ x 8″ w. PROVENANCE: Christie’s, lot 199, Sale #5957. From a fine private Long Island, NY collection. CONDITION: There are several small chips and flakes, generally on the border.
