GURLEY SURVEYOR’S COMPASS AND TRIPOD STAND TOGETHER WITH E.&G.W. BLUNT DRY CARD COMPASS. Late 19th/early 20th century, New York. The surveyor’s compass in working order inscribed on the silvered dial “W. & L.E. Gurley. Troy, N.Y.“. Accompanied by its original fitted case, including a brass adapter and brass plumb-bob. The interior of the lid with original Gurley label. The compass is accompanied by a surveyor’s tripod. The 19th century dry compass in original gray painted slide-top box. Fine example in working condition. SIZE: Compass: 6″ overall dia. Dial: 5″ dia. Tripod: 59″ l (closed). Dry compass: 7″ x 7″ x 5” t. CONDITION: Very good with minor and normal wear.
