OYSTER VENEERED CHEST WITH BRACKET BASE.

18th century, England or continental. The rectangular top all over inlaid with oyster grain veneer having satin wood string inlaid concentric circles and quarter circles, banded in satin wood, featuring a two over three graduated drawer case. Drawers banded and faced with similar oyster veneer, seated atop an early bracket base. The end panels oyster veneer framed with satin wood. SIZE: 34-1/2″ h X 37″ l X 22″ d. CONDITION: Overall very good with good old refinish, pleasing appearance. Brasses apparently of the period, but not first set.
