EARLY 18TH CENTURY MIRROR WITH SCENIC NEEDLEWORK.

First half 18th century, English or American, of rectangular form with canted back panels frame and walnut molding, topped with lunette. Framed in lunette featuring scenes embroidered in fine wool thread with jute background. Embroidered panels having scenes of 18th century life, courtship, hunting and other social activities, rendered mostly in satin stitch and chain stitch. SIZE: 40″ h x 26″ w. CONDITION: Embroidered panels very good condition, a few slight losses, colors softened but very uniform.
