CARVED QUEEN ANNE PINE MIRROR. Mid-18th century, New England. This rare small pinwheel and hex carved shard mirror of thin stock with stepped Queen Anne pierced crest, embellished with single pinwheel and double carved hex symbols. The glass shard held in place with large rosehead nails. SIZE: 6-1/4″ T x 3-3/4″ W. CONDITION: Original surfaces with good dark patina, evidence from holes on backside would indicate possible early replaced mirror plate. Very good. 9-91536 (1,000-1,500)
