QUEEN ANNE MAHOGANY AND GILTWOOD MIRROR. Mid-18th century. The rectangular mirror plate within a gilt slip and convex molded frame beneath a pronounced scrolling crest flanked by birds centering an applied carved giltwood c-scrolled and floral cartouche. The scrolled apron applied with gilt leaf tips. SIZE: 43″ l x 18-3/4″ w. CONDITION: Original mirror plate with considerable foxing. Old vertical shrinkage crack in crest repaired. Absence of scroll work, proper lower left corner. Otherwise good. 9-91974 (300-500)
