ATTRIBUTED TO H.K. GOODMAN (American, Fl. Circa 1825) PORTRAIT OF CHILD IN BLUE DRESS WITH EWE.

Oil on canvas shows a full length portrait of a young child wearing blue dress, white pantaloons and black shoes. The child holds the red reigns of a small ewe and the other hand holds a group of red and white wildflowers. A classical portico background with column and rail which has two pink roses growing in between. A blue drape in the upper right and white clouds upper left. The child and ewe stand on a black and white patchwork floor. Housed in a period gilt wood frame with losses, unsigned.
