RARE TRIPLE SOCKET SCONCE.

18th century, New England, rolled sheet iron. The reflector back of double lobed design, the lower section with wide, deeply fluted perimeter, recessed oval within & punch decorated raised hex symbol central medallion. the upper lobe, circular, of conforming design with central pierced hanging hole. The tri-lobed drip pan with over hanging folded edge base & rolled edge fence top. The three folded rim, slotted candlecups are cleat-soldered to base. All solder seams intact. SIZE: 11-3/4″ t. CONDITION: Very good, worn original lampblack surface, with dark lightly oxidized patina. 9-93908 (1,200-1,800) – Lot 2074
