Probably early 19th century New England the salt turned and paint decorated to simulate burl with black painted interior, the snuff carved from one piece of pine with sliding chamfered chestnut lid having thumbnail carved slide in good dark patina. SIZE: Snuff 1″ h x 1-1/4″ w x 4″ d. Salt 1-1/2″ h x 1-1/4″ dia. CONDITION: Both very good condition with wear commensurate with age. 9-93755 (500-800) – Lot 2065
