Oil on canvas scene shows an interior view of a child seated on a large black dog with named collar “FIDO”. One hand of the child rests atop of the dogs’ head while the other holds a red ribbon leash. Two cats are next to a bowl of food and another cat scratches the leg of a chair in the background. Large printed curtains with hanging green cord next to a door with view outside of two buildings in a Rufus Porter type landscape. Housed in an interesting faux painted early frame with some damage. SIZE: 31-1/4″ x 23-1/2″. Overall: 38″ x 31″. PROVENANCE: Ex-Berdan Collection. CONDITION: Minor touch up, surface dirt, very good. 9-93524 (500-1,000) – Lot 2054
