Maine, late 19th to early 20th century. Elegant form. Well detailed, beautifully carved rooster with traces of early polychrome paint. Mounted in what appears to be its original tin holder affixed to a copper arrow. Offered with no stand. SIZE: 23″ tail x 19″ l (rooster). CONDITION: Very good. Well weathered with expected losses and repairs. Wrapped string repairs to legs. Tin mounting pan with added cement for stability. Tip of beak absent. 9-93115 (500-700) – Lot 2052
