EARLY AMERICAN TWO-DOOR CORNER CUPBOARD IN BITTERSWEET PAINT.First half 19th century, probably Pennsylvania. Country corner cupboard in poplar, retaining original bittersweet colored paint, having chamfered crown molding with 2 panel doors above & below. Very pleasantly proportioned. SIZE: 81″ h x 39″ w x 24″ d. PROVENANCE: Ex-Berdan Collection. CONDITION: Cupboard appears to be all original, except for knobs. Lock missing for lower door. Painted surface shows signs of normal wear with minor restoration at area where a later lock was removed. Backboards original having good dark patina. 9-92993 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 2048
