LARGE EARLY 18TH CENTURY STERLING CAUDEL CUP. Fine large two handled cup with fluted base, corded mid rib, vacant repousse cartouche on one side, and cast scrolled handles. Bottom engraved “IH” over “M”. Hallmarked on top right side of one handle with “LO” in a shield (Seth Lofthouse). Britannia standard, London, 1704. SIZE: 4-1/2″ high. 5″ diameter. 7-3/4″ wide. 9 oz. 12.5 dwt. PROVENANCE: From a fine Kentucky Estate. CONDITION: Very fine. Very slightly rubbed, repairs noted: possible reattachment of handles.
