GROUP OF THREE SMALL ENGLISH STERLING SALVERS. No. 1: 8″ Fine condition salver with scroll and shell border. Central armorial of lion rampant. Hallmarked for “RR” Richard Rugg # 1, sterling, London, and 1773. Salver is on three hoofed feet. No. 2: 8-1/8″ Heavily rubbed and slightly dented, with some repairs, salver has raised gadrooned border. Central armorial has arrow in mailed fist over script initials. Hallmarked for Richard Rugg # 2, sterling, London, and 1775. Presentation inscription on bottom ca. 1956, referring to “The Questers”. Salver is raised on three classic ball and claw feet. No. 3: Classic 7″ salver, slightly bent, with some light pitting on top surface, considerably rubbed, has scroll and shell border on three hoofed feet. Central armorial depicts bird holding olive branch over “IN SEASON” on scrolled riband. Hallmarked for “WK” (unknown), sterling, London, 1755.
