18TH CENTURY IRISH STERLING GRAVY BOAT. Heavy construction, three footed gravy boat with shell bases to hoofed feet, heavy corded rim, double scrolled handle. Family crest of animal head on left side. Marked on bottom for sterling, Dublin, and “JL” in oval (John Lloyd, ca. 1770)(No date mark). SIZE: 4″ high. 2-1/2″ wide. 7-1/2″ long. 10 oz. 4.167 dwt. PROVENANCE: From a fine Kentucky Estate. CONDITION: Good. Considerably rubbed. Hallmarks are good. Slight indentations in body from bases of feet. No noted repairs. Interior lacquered. 9-92276 (300-500)
