FINE PAIR OF SMALL LONDON STERLING SALVERS BY E. COKER, 1762. Well made salvers have fancy raised borders with gadrooned edges, are on three hairy paw feet. Central armorials of three boar’s heads, have scrolled and floral borders, over motto “GRATIA NATURAM VINCIT” in ribands. Bottoms are stamped with hallmarks “EC” for Ebenezer Coker, London, sterling, and 1762. SIZE: 7-3/8″ diameter. 1-1/8″ high. Pair: 20 oz. 2.5 dwt. PROVENANCE: From a fine Kentucky Estate. CONDITION: Very fine to excellent. Normal slight marks and rubs. Engravings are sharp, as are hallmarks. 9-92269 (500-1,000)
