TWO CENTRAL/SOUTH AMERICAN SILVER BOWLS. No., 1: 14-1/2″ x 10″ x 3-1/2″ high, Heavy, hand-hammered, oval bowl with two acanthus decorated cast serpentine handles, is on scalloped base. Bowl is decorated with deep repousse flutes transitioning to geometric and rose bud band near top. Bottom is stamped with makers mark, “Mendoza”, and “Mexico”. No. 2: 12-1/4″ Round x 2-1/2″ high “Peru” “Plata” “Sterling” “.925” stamped low sided fluted bowl has 1884 dated Lima Peru UN SOL coin set into bottom. SIZE: Weight of both: 63 oz. 5.83 dwt.
