*FINE MAUSER COMMERCIAL SPORTING RIFLE. CAL. 8 x 57. Half-stock sporting rifle, 24″ stepped round bbl, 2-leaf express sight, checkered schnable tipped forearm with raised side panels, checkered semi-pistol grip stock with smooth steel buttplate, dbl. set triggers. Receiver and bolt are case colored with claw mounts containing a scope with 3-post reticule high mount. SN 3900 CONDITION: Fine. Bbl with 90% orig. blue, receiver and bolt of gray case colors, the scope deeply pitted but fine optics. Stock is sound with strong finish, strong dark bore. This was probably a W.W.I sniper rifle. 4-45855 (400-700)
