J. MILLER HALF-STOCK PERCUSSION RIFLE. CAL. 38. Heavy half-stock target/hunting rifle with 32″ oct. bbl, 1-18″ across the flats at the muzzle. The front sight is a tiny brass blade with fixed rear sight. The top flat is marked with the makers’ name, lock is lightly engraved and unmarked, brass furniture without a patch box and has a pewter nose cap. CONDITION: Fine. The bbl and lock plate retain a dark heavy brown patina. Wood is sound and sharp retaining a fine hand-rubbed patina, mechanics are sound. 4-45705 JL349 (750-1,250)
