TOWER FLINTLOCK MILITIA MUSKET. CAL. about 75. Early musket with 44-3/4″ bbl, iron furniture, missing the front band, tulip head ramrod, “TOWER” marked lock with crown over “GR” in front of the hammer. Full-length stock, marked on the butt “JOHN PRESCOTT/SANDWICH”. CONDITION: Fair. Probably a composite piece utilizing various parts with repairs and splices around the lock, missing the side plate and the area filled with wood. Lock is missing parts and the hammer doesn’t function. An interesting piece that needs research. 4-45860 (500-1,000)
