EARLY WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. CAL. 38-55. Early first year production rifle. Standard grade rifle with 26″ oct. bbl, homemade front sight with semi-buckhorn rear sight, full magazine, uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. SN 6058 CONDITION: Good. Retains an even dark brown attic patina over all the metal surfaces with traces of blue in the most sheltered areas. The wood is sound and retains traces of orig. varnish. Strong bright bore with some light frosting in the grooves. 4-45359 Z213 (1000-1500)
