TRAPDOOR SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1884 RIFLE. CAL. 45-70. Standard rifle with 32-5/8″ bbl, Buffington rear sight and slotted head ramrod. The left side wrist has a cartouche dated 1888. SN 470219 CONDITION: Good to very good. Metal retains a medium gray patina with scattered surface discoloration. The front sight is a replacement. Wood is sound and retains most of a recent refinish. Excellent, bright shiny bore. 4-45351 JL228 (400-700)
