ENFIELD MUSKET WITH SNIDER CONVERSION. CAL. 57 Snider. Standard Enfield musket with Snider conversion breech block with broad arrow proofs. 3-bbl bands with slotted ramrod, standard lock plate markings dated 1859 with Enfield cartouche on the right side of the stock and a diamond with “DC” on the left side of the stock. CONDITION: The metal retains a blue-brown patina with scattered light surface rust. Wood is dark with numerous nicks and dings, retaining most of an old refinish. Strong bore in need of a cleaning. 4-45284 JL230 (500-700)
