EMILY MASON (American, 1932-) “LIGHT AT COLECHESTER REEF”. Oil on canvas Housed in a modern shadowbox type wood frame Signed lower right “Emily Mason” and dated “91” Well known for her abstract paintings, Mason’s work is included in many public and private collections. After graduating from the Cooper Union, she spent the mid-1950’s in Italy on a Fulbright grant for painting; during that time she married the artist Wolf Kahn. A long time painting instructor at Hunter College, her awards include the Ranger Fund Purchase Prize from the National Academy. SIZE: 22″ x 24″.
