ENFIELD MUSKET WITH SNIDER CONVERSION. CAL. 57 Snider. Standard musket with 3-bbl bands and slotted head ramrod. Usual lock plate markings dated 1864, Enfield cartouche on the right side of the stock and a diamond with “DC” on the left side along with other markings. CONDITION: Very good. Metal retains a blue-brown patina with scattered light surface rust. Missing the small retaining screw from the conversion. Wood is sound and retains most of an orig. refinish. Strong bright bore in need of cleaning. 4-45287 JL238 (400-600)
