B.S.A. ENFIELD MUSKET WITH SNIDER CONVERSION. CAL. 57 Snider. Standard Enfield musket with Snider conversion breech block marked “B.S.A. CO.” and “SNIDER PATENT” with a locking latch on the block. 3-bbl bands with slotted head ramrod, usual lock plate markings dated 1875. Front of the receiver is stamped “S” pierced by an arrow. SN 4171 CONDITION: Good to very good. Metal retains a light gray cleaned patina, brass polished a long time ago is beginning to patinate. Strong, bright bore with scattered pitting. 4-45283 JL235 (500-700)
