ENFIELD CARBINE WITH SNIDER CONVERSION. CAL. 57 Snider. Standard carbine with 19-1/2″ bbl, 1-bbl band. Usual lock markings dated 1862 with Enfield cartouche on the right side of the stock. CONDITION: Fair. The bbl, receiver and trigger have heavily crusted rust. Lock plate and hammer are a silver metal color, brass trigger guard and buttplate are oxidized to black. Wood is sound and retains some orig. finish with nicks and dings and usual handling marks. Bright strong bore with scattered pitting. 4-45289 JL240 (200-300)
