Gouache Housed in a fine modern replacement frame with double matte Signed lower right “De Simone” and identified lower left “SY Columbia” REFERENCE: Accompanying the painting is some information regarding the Columbia. It was built by William Cramp & Sons, launched from Philadelphia, PA. Renamed the USS Wasp for the US Navy in 1898 SIZE: Sight: 16-1/2″ x 26″. Overall: 27″ x 36″ CONDITION: Some crease marks, edges with slight discoloration 9-91656 (2,000-3,000)
