*CLASSY .410 ARRIETA MODEL “874” SIDELOCK EJECTOR SELF-OPENING GAME SHOTGUN WITH STRIKING BLUED “FUNERAL” ACTION AND GOLD LINE BORDERS, WITH CASE AND ACCESSORIES.

SN 34146. Cal. .410. 3″ Chambers. 26-7/8″ Chopper lump bbls with narrow, swamped game rib, are marked with Arrieta name and address on top of right bbl. There are inlaid gold lines around breech end. Bbl flats are stamped with Spanish nitro proofs and bbls are fitted with H&H type self-opening assist spring. Blued small sized sidelock action features automatic safety (SAFE inlaid in gold), bushed strikers, and dbl triggers (front articulated). Borders of action and lockplates have gold inlay borders. On top lever some borders have scroll terminations. Bottom of action is inlaid “ARMAS ARRIETA” and Arrieta double fleur-di-lis logo is in raised gold on trigger guard bow. Strikingly marbled and lightly fiddle figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 15″ over skip line checkered wood butt. Stock also features drop points, point pattern checkering at grip, and individual gold initials “J S P” inlet on toe line. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Bore diameter at muzzles: left -.394, right – .390. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Cast: approx 3/8 off. Weight: 5 lbs. 12 oz. LOP: 15″. *LOVELY MATCHED PAIR OF BERETTA S3 EELL OVER-UNDER EJECTOR SINGLE TRIGGER GAME SHOTGUNS HAVING SUPERBLY CUT AND SHADED BAROQUE SCROLL ENGRAVING BY MASSEUZA, WITH CASE AND ACCESSORIES.

SN C05203B/C05204B. Cal. 12 ga. This fine pair of guns, gold inlaid “1” and “2” on bbls, trigger guards and forend latches, have 28″ mono-bloc bbls fitted with matted ventilated ribs. Left sides of bbls are engraved “P. Beretta – ITALY”. Mono-blocs of engine turned sides are stamped with 1978 Italian nitro proofs, grade, and SNs. Sling loops are soldered to bottom bbls. Coin finished low profile uniquely Beretta sidelock OU actions feature gold plated single selective triggers with checkered blades, and gold plated pin ends. Actions are engraved with full coverage beautifully executed large open scrolling acanthus flanked by smaller open scroll and floral highlights. This fine engraving extends to lockplates, as well as blued top levers, which have pierced thumbpieces, and to trigger guards. Top levers are gold inlaid with relief sovereign crowns, and trigger guard bows have relief gold inlaid initials “LRG”. Beretta name and address as well as “BREVETTATO” and “MADE IN ITALY” are on bottom of actions. This fine work is signed by Beretta master engraver “Masseuza”. Very closely matched smoky marbled and somewhat stump figured European walnut swan necked buttstocks measure 14-1/8″ over fully checkered wood butts. Well cut point pattern checkering is at grips. Sling loops matching those on bbls are on toe lines. Matching one piece slim game forends have Deeley type releases. Gun no. “1”: Bore diameter: top -.724, bottom – .727. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new, with only some very light handling and assembly marks on wood and metal, most notably some light scratches and rubs on left side of buttstock of gun “2”. Guns appear essentially unfired, with little evidence of any halos on breechfaces. Case is fine with some scuffs. Interior is fine. SN H0019. (1970) Cal. 12 ga. 28″ Mono-bloc bbls with matted low-profile ventilated rib are marked “BOEHLER * ANTINIT STEEL” and “P. BERETTA – Gardone V.T.” and “MADE IN ITALY” on left bbl. Bbl flats are stamped with 1970 Italian nitro proofs with makers name, grade, SN, and “CHOKE”. A sling loop is screwed to bottom rib. Coin finished sideplate action features gold plated single selective trigger, non-automatic safety (S in gold), and disc set strikers. False pin ends are gold plated. Action is engraved with nicely cut semi-relief rose bouquets in a field of nicely cut scroll, all within geometric borders. Makers name and address are in arched device on bottom. Bouquets on fences are in a bit higher relief. Top lever has pierced thumbpiece, and inlaid gold crown. Engravers signature “G. Bertasi” is on trigger plate, and SN is on blued trigger guard tang. Very nicely marbled and lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock with slight swan neck, measures 14″ over fully checkered wood butt. Point pattern checkering is at grip, and a sling loop matching that on bbls, as well as a gold oval engraved with monogram “JGR” (?), are on toe line. Beavertail ejector forend has matching, but more extensive checkering, and Anson type release. Bore diameter: left -.728, right – .727. Bore restrictions: left – .032 (full), right – .012 (lt mod). Wall thickness: left – .036, right – .032. Drop at heel: 1-15/16″, drop at comb: 1-9/16″. Cast: neutral. Weight: 7 lbs. 3 oz. LOP: 14″. Gun is accompanied by what appears to be its orig tan leather leg o’ mutton case. CONDITION: Very fine to excellent, showing limited field use, retaining nearly all of its orig blue on bbls. Coin finish of action remains bright. There is silvering on thumbpiece, safety, and edges of trigger guard bow, some wear to gold plating on trigger, and numerous light marks and scratches in wood finish, with some deeper marks on right side of butt. Finish worn through at top rear of left side. Checkering is very lightly worn. Bores are excellent. Mechanically excellent with possible hitch in trigger, as it sometimes does not need recoil to set up for second shot. Case is fine. *SUPERB TOP-OF-THE-LINE LUIGI FRANCHI “IMPERIALE MONTE CARLO EXTRA” SIDELOCK EJECTOR SINGLE TRIGGER TWO BARREL SET SHOTGUN WITH RELIEF ACANTHUS ENGRAVING BY A. TERZI WITH CASE.

SN 15056. (1981) Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 27-7/8″ and 25-5/8″ Chopper lump bbls with slightly raised matted game ribs, are engraved “S. P. A LUIGI FRANCHI BRESCIA” and “MADE IN ITALY” on sides of left bbls. Bbl flats are stamped with 1981 Italian proofs for 2-3/4″ chambers, along with Franchi logos. (It is interesting to note that although the bbls match perfectly, there is no date stamp on longer set.) Bottoms of bbls are stamped with Bohler Antinit steel information, “DEMIBLOC”, and with SNs. Coin finished sidelock action has nicely filed beads and fillets, and features non-automatic safety (SIGURA engraved), bushed strikers, and single non-selective trigger stamped “Fabbri”. Water table is stamped with proofs, grade, and importers name and address (Simpson Ltd). Action and lockplates are engraved with attractive semi-relief full coverage of scrolling acanthus leaves and tendrils in a pebbled background. Engravers signature “Terzi A.” is on trigger plate. This engraving extends to top lever,which has pierced crouched gargoyle thumbpiece and to single beaded trigger guard. Near exhibition quality intricately marbled and nicely stump figured European walnut slightly swan necked straight grip buttstock measures 14″ over fully checkered butt, and features drop points, semi-diamond hand with borderless point pattern checkering. Matching semi-Beavertail ejector forend with Anson release has finely inlet gold device in central uncheckered diamond, engraved with grade. 27″ BBLS: Bore diameter: left -.730, right – .730. Bore restrictions: left – .041 (extra full), right – .023 (mod). Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb:1-9/16″ . Cast: approx 3/8″ off. Weight: 7 lbs. 8 oz. What appears to be orig dark brown leather case lined in green felt, contains certificate, instruction booklet, and bags for action and bbls. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new. Appears unfired since proof, with only a few exceptionally faint handling and assembly marks. Mechanically gummed due to long storage, and is in need of a good cleaning. Case is good, with some rubs. *VERY FINE 20 GAUGE FLLI RIZZINI R2 BOXLOCK EJECTOR SINGLE TRIGGER GAME SHOTGUN WITH BULINO GAME SCENES BY PATELLI WITH CASE.

SN 1870. Cal. 20 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. Beautifully struck 26″ chopper lump bbls are engraved “Flli RIZZINI MAGNO V.T.” on slightly swamped game rib. Bbl flats are stamped with 1984 Italian nitro proofs for 2-3/4″ chambers. Coin finished boxlock action has ogee filed into back and is fitted with unique removable floorplate to aid in cleaning. Action also features non-automatic safety and single non-selective trigger. Action is engraved with very well cut large acanthus scroll flourishes surrounding a field of small scroll with rose bouquets at centers. This interesting embellishment surrounds nicely detailed Bulino renderings of feathered game; chukar partridge on bottom of action, flushing pheasant on left side, and a pair of flying grouse on right. Each of these scenes is signed by noted engraver “Patelli” whose signature also appears after “INC” on trigger plate, meaning he was also responsible for the well done scroll, which extends to small bow trigger guard which has SN on tang. Well marbled and lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/4″ over checkered wood butt. Borderless point pattern checkering is on semi-diamond hand. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Bore diameter: top -.621, bottom – .620. Bore restrictions: top – .020 (mod), bottom – .008 (IC). Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Cast: approx 1/8 off. Weight: 5 lbs. 15 oz. LOP: 14-3/4″. Tan leather case by Nizzoli is lined in burgundy cloth, has Rizzini label in lid, and contains an aluminum cleaning rod. PROVENANCE: Certificate. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new, with very faint firing halos on breechface and only a few light handling marks in wood of butt. Checkering still light in color. Both bbl sets with raised matted ventilated ribs, have all correct factory markings. 30″ Bbls are fitted with extended Seminole choke tubes for light mod. 34″ Bbls are choked mod and full. Coin finished action with blocked out safety and single selective trigger is engraved with exceptionally fine vignettes of dogs and game; a setter is pointing a flushing pheasant on left side, and a trio of geese are on right. Bottom of action is marked “K – 80” “KRIEGHOFF” and “Germany”. Well marbled and nicely figured European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14-7/16″ over black Decelerator pad, and features fancy pattern checkering on ambidextrous grip, with heavier palm swell on right side. Matching schnabeled forend has Deeley type release. 34″ Bbls: Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-9/16″. Cast: neutral. Weight: 8 lbs. 11 oz. LOP:14-7/16″. PROVENANCE: Bill Trotter collection. CONDITION: Very fine to excellent, retaining nearly all orig finishes on wood and metal, but with a hint of silvering on sharp edges of bbls, as well as some light marks, and quite a few marks and scratches in wood finish, mostly on right side of butt. Coin finished boxlock ogee backed action with automatic safety, crossbolt third fastener, disc set strikers, and dbl triggers is engraved with 80% coverage shaded scroll surrounding semi-relief game scenes on sides; two scampering hares on left, and a pair of snipe taking wing over marsh on right. Bottom of action is stamped with Suhl blacksmith logo. Blued trigger guard is also scroll engraved. SN 40-1308. Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 28″ Shoe lump bbls with matted, concave game rib, are engraved “Made in Austria” and “Waffen – Dschulnigg – Salzburg” on tops. Bbl flats are stamped with Ferlach nitro proofs with date of 1959. Bottoms of bbls are stamped with gauge and chamber information, provisional proofs, and “BOHLER – BLITZ – STAHL”. Coin finished, sideplated, boxlock action features single selective trigger, hidden crossbolt third fastener, and bolstered sides. Action is engraved with very well cut, classic, Germanic, open, scrolled acanthus framing game scenes with relief gold inlaid mammals and birds in well detailed backgrounds; a pointer points a flushing pheasant on left side of action, and a wily fox stocks a rising duck on right. A rabbit scampers across trigger plate, and a snipe settles into a marsh on trigger guard bow. Central points of acanthus leaves have been polished bright to accentuate depth of scroll. Very finely marbled and lightly figured European walnut horn capped pistol grip buttstock measures 13-7/8″ over checkered horn buttplate. Point pattern checkering with broad mullered borders is at grip. Long, beavertail, ejector forend has matching engraving and Deeley release. Bore diameter: left-.715, right -.716. Bore restrictions: left -.010 (IC), right -.004 (Skeet). Minimum wall thickness: left -.039, right -.038. Drop at heel: 2-7/8″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 7 lbs. 5 oz. LOP: 13-7/8″. Oak and leather English style case, has brass corners and brass rectangle on lid engraved “W F Willson”. Case is lined in burgundy cloth. Partitions have oak accents on tops, and a number of accessories are French fitted including horn handled turnscrews, snap caps, round English oil bottle, a 2-pc brass and ebony cleaning rod under bbl recess, and mop, jag, and brush in a covered compartment, along with the key. CONDITION: Excellent.retaining nearly all orig blue on bbls, with a few minor light scuffs and marks. Action retains essentially all of its fine French gray finish, with some oil discoloration where protected. Stocks retain nearly all of what appears to be an old oil refinish, with some light subsequent marks. Beads behind lockplates have incipient cracks. Horn grip cap and buttplate are excellent, shiny, but with some light checks. Bores are excellent. Action is slightly loose. Ejectors are strong and in time. Trigger works. Dark case leather is excellent, brass fixtures slightly tarnished. Straps and handle are very fine. Lock retaining loops are missing. Interior cloth is excellent with some minor soiling from contact with breech ends of bbls. Accessories are excellent, near new. *EXQUISITE QUALITY HIGH CONDITION 32″ BARRELED 20 GAUGE EJECTOR GAME SHOTGUN BY L. BRANCQUAERT OF BRUSSELS WITH EXTRA 28″ BARRELS AND LO’M CASE.

SN 7415. (on action) (pre 1922) Cal. 20 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. Although not a household name, guns made by Brancquaert attained fame in the late 19th and early 20th century in the pigeon ring, and are known today as some of the finest ever made by those who appreciate good shotguns. This unusual small gauge example has 32″ and 28″ chopper lump bbls, both with slightly raised matted concave game ribs with ivory beads, and are engraved “L. Brancquaert” and “Bruxelles” on tops. Bbl flats of 32″ bbls are stamped with Belgian nitro proofs without date letter, and are stamped with choke information, SNs, and cockerel steel logos, and are engraved “COMPRESSED STEEL”. 28″ Bbl flats are stamped with 1988 London nitro proofs for 2-3/4″ chambers, and engraved with SN. Case hardened sideplated boxlock action features non-automatic safety (S inlaid in gold), hidden third fastener, side clips, reinforced frame and dbl triggers (front articulated). Action is engraved with near full coverage very nicely cut rose and scroll within geometric borders. Sideplates, floorplate, top lever, and trigger guard are charcoal blued and also engraved with small scroll and large whorls of roses, etc around pins. Nicely streaked and lightly figured very dense dark European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/8″ over brown leather covered pad. Point pattern checkering on diamond grip is exceptionally well done, cleanly cut, and with small uncheckered diamonds left at inner points on sides, at top of grip, and at apex on toe line. Matching splinter ejector forend with Anson release has wonderfully finished checkering, matching buttstock. 32″ BBLS: Bore diameter: left -.630, right – .627. Bore restrictions: left – .038 (extra full), right – .020 (mod). Wall thickness: left – .033, right – .031. Drop at heel: 2-1/16″, drop at comb: 1-7/16″. Cast: approx 1/4 off. Weight: 7 lbs. 2 oz. LOP: 14-3/8″. 28″ BBLS: Bore diameter: left -.622, right – .622. Bore restrictions: left – .019 (mod), right – .012 (lt mod). Wall thickness: left – .039, right – .038. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″-. Cast: approx 1/4 off. Weight: 6 lbs. 11 oz. LOP: 14-3/8″. Gun is accompanied by its orig leg o’ mutton case with space for both sets of bbls. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain nearly all of what appears to be their orig blue, but is possibly a re-blue done with very little polishing. Action retains 50 – 60% orig muted case hardening color, strong where protected. Sideplates, floorplate, and top lever retain 80 – 90% of their orig bright blue with some light marks and a few scratches on floorplate. Trigger guard retains more than half of its orig blue. Bbls are engraved “Sempert & Krieghoff Suhl.” on tops. Bottoms of bbls are marked with German and Birmingham nitro proofs for 2-3/4″ chambers. Rifle bbl has German and English proofs, and German proof date of 12/ 35. Breech area of rifle bbl is stamped “7 X 57 R”. Dural (aluminum) action features Krieghoff push forward rifle cocking slide on top tang, side clips, Greener crossbolt third fastener, bushed strikers, and gold-plated double triggers (front set). Back action sidelocks with steel plates, have raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators, and safety lever on left side. Action is engraved with near full coverage scrolling acanthus in stippled background. Fences are relief carved in acanthus and floral motif. Bottom of action is engraved “Krieghoff Drilling” and “Neptun Standard” in ribands. Lockplates are deeply relief engraved with well detailed vignettes of game – a bugling stag and 3 hinds in woodland on right plate, and roebuck with doe and 2 fawns in pastoral setting on left plate. Trigger guard is of horn. Nicely fiddle figured, and lightly streaked European walnut full pistol grip buttstock measures 15″ over remnants of pad, and features Bavarian style right hand cheekpiece, steel cartridge trap on toe line, and horn grip cap with engraved steel top that has monogram “JW” inlaid in gold. Instead of checkering, grip has 4 carved flutes on each side, running from grip cap toward lockplates. Borders are stippled. Two piece forend continues the fluted theme with 11 flutes running to slightly schnabeled horn cap at muzzles. Front portion is attached to bbls by the sling loop. Removable portion of forend has Deeley release and horn spacer where it joins front piece of forend. Bore diameter: left -.676, right -.674. Bore restrictions: left -.025, right -.028. Wall thickness: left -.028, right -.032. Drop at heel: Approx 3-1/16″, drop at rear of hogback: 2-5/16″, drop at comb: Approx 1-9/16″. Weight: 7 lbs. 1 oz, LOP 15″. *BROWNING “TROMBONE” RIFLE ENGRAVED BY ANGELO BEE.

SN 31276. Cal. 22 LR. 22″ Bbl. Metal parts of this fine little rifle have been coin finished and completely engraved from stem to stern by master Angelo Bee with near full coverage large open scrolling acanthus with punch dot shading running the entire length of the bbl and on nearly all of action where it surrounds multi-colored relief gold inlays of birds of prey and their quarry. The multi-color inlay is very interesting in that colors merge from yellow through red, and red through silver on the eagles. Left side of action portrays bald eagle in pursuit of a pair of flushing grouse with mountains in background, while a golden eagle attempts to grab a scampering rabbit on right. Top of action depicts a red gold quail perched on a silver branch. FN information on bbl and SN on bottom of action are in flush gold. Angelo Bee’s signature of a bee over “ABEE” is at bottom of scene on top. Exhibition quality beautifully marbled and figured European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 13-3/4″ over blued steel scroll engraved buttplate. Drop at heel: approx 2-3/4″, drop at comb: approx 1-9/16″. Weight: 5 lbs. 1 oz. LOP: 13-3/4″. CUSTOM MADE GOLD AND SILVER ANGELO BEE ENGRAVED WINCHESTER BELT BUCKLE.

2″ x 1-1/2″ oval high polished silver with gold with Winchester logo horseman. Buckle is signed “ABEE” just like signature seen on his engraved guns. The gold horseman is 1-1/2″ x 1″, made of yellow gold. Finely engraved details in rider and horse, carrying his carbine, can be seen in photographs. The foliage he is riding over is nicely highlighted in a green/gold alloy. Buckle is quite thick, weighing about 2-1/2 ounces with 1″ belt loop and belt stud on verso. *RARE “EXPERIMENTAL” WINCHESTER MODEL 21 “GRAND AMERICAN” DOUBLE RIFLE IN 8 X 57JR WITH CASE AND FACTORY LETTER.

SN 33967. Cal. .8X57JR. 26″ Bbls with roll die marking on top left bbl areengraved with caliber. One standing, three folding leaf express rear sight is in island base, and gold bead front sight is in matching ramp. Breech ends of bbls are engraved with 3″ triangles of scroll. Engine turned bbl flats are stamped with SN, caliber, Winchester proof marks, and “EXPERIMENTAL”. Bottoms of bbls are marked “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”. Blued flat side action with engine turned water table, is proofed and marked “EXPERIMENTAL”. Breechface and sides of action have gas escape ports. Action is fitted with gold plated single selective trigger and automatic safety. Action is engraved in “Grand American” style with 80% coverage scroll surrounding vignettes of game semi-relief inlaid in gold, which are suitable quarry for this caliber; bugling elk on left side, moose on right, and big horn sheep on trigger plate. The head of a grizzly bear is in gold on trigger guard bow. Fences are relief carved with oak leaves and acorns. XXXX crotch figured American walnut engraved steel capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/4″ over red Winchester pad. Side panels and grip are B-carved, with numerous fleur-di-lis intrusions and flourishes into butt. Matching beavertail ejector forend has inset contrasting wood tip, reinforcing brace, and engine turned internals. Drop at heel: approx 2-5/16″, drop at comb: approx 1-1/2″. Weight: 9 lbs. 6 oz. LOP: 14-1/4″. Oak and leather case with brass corners has gold canvas trimmed outer cover. Case is lined in burgundy cloth and has gold embossed black leather Model 21 label in lid. Case contains square oil bottle, snap caps, and wrapping paper. PROVENANCE: Factory letter. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new, with only the faintest of handling and assembly marks in all wood and metal surfaces. Mechanically crisp.
