1) PARKER PH. SN 224680. Cal. 12 ga. 30″ Parker steel bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked Imp Cyl/Mod. Full length matted top rib with steel bead. 1-1/2″ frame. Dbl triggers, extractors, auto safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in two-point pattern with nickel shield and 14″ LOP over orig Parker DHBP. Splinter forearm with Deely release and steel tip checkered in double diamond pattern. Receiver engraved in standard P grade pattern with light scroll and border engraving. Weight: 7 lbs. 6 oz. With Parker Gun Collectors Association research letter. CONDITION: Excellent as found. Bbls retain approximately 90% orig blued finish with light scratches and toning. Receiver is finely engraved in standard D-grade pattern. Pointer on left, setter on right, four birds on bottom, surrounded by well executed Parker scroll. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in two-point pattern with 16″ LOP, 4″ of drop as specified in PGCA letter over original Parker Brothers HRBP. Splinter forearm with Deeley release and steel tip. Receiver is zigzag border engraved. Accompanied by a 2006 PGCA letter, noting shipment 3-9-1911 to the U.S. Naval Hospital Commissary Store in Las Animas, CO (old Ft Lyon). Letter also confirms gun as special order in its current 16″ x 4″ stock configuration. Weight: 8 lbs. 2 oz. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine and near mint, retaining nearly all orig finish to both wood and metal with only minor handling marks. Toe of stock with two minor chips. Damascus Steel”. #2 frame Nickel-plated double triggers, extractors, auto safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in standard DH pattern with brass oval engraved “M” and 14″ LOP over solid red Silvers type recoil pad. Splinter forearm checkered in standard D grade pattern with Deeley release and steel tip. Receiver is nicely engraved in early Parker scroll with setter on right, pointer on left and four pheasants on bottom. Weight: 7 lbs 11 oz. PROVENANCE: Forest R. Marshall Collection. CONDITION: Excellent as partially refurbished (bbls and wood only). Bbls are truly exceptional with bold and vivid contrast as restored by the late master gunsmith Dr. Oscar Gaddy. Receiver retains 40% orig case color, shiny on sides and toned toward front of action. Buttstock and forearm have been expertly restored by Gaddy, and are in beautiful blonde and honey color. Top of rib is marked “Parker Bros.Makers.Meriden.Ct.U.S.A.Vulcan Steel”. Receiver with zig-zag border engraving and “Parker” on bottom. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, checkered straight grip buttstock, Hawkins recoil pad, nickel shield, checkered beavertail forend. Weight: 7 lbs. 6 oz. LOP 14″; from rear position sgl trigger. The book “Parker Gun Identification & Serialization” records 239561 as a V Grade 12 gauge 26″ bbl with ejector and single trigger and pistol grip stock. Investigation of stock reveals correct stamped SN in channel for trigger guard tang and handwritten in pencil in beavertail forend. Splinter forearm checkered in standard V grade pattern with Deeley release. Cyanide case hardened receiver engraved with typical zigzag pattern and marked “Parker” on bottom of frame. Splinter forearm with Deeley release and steel tip. Receiver is nicely scrolled with game scene engraved in typical DH pattern, pointer on left, setter on right, four birds on bottom. Accompanied by a PGCA letter describing the gun in its current configuration except for pad and detailing other work on this gun. Weight: 7lb. 2oz. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain approx 70% visible Damascus pattern with minor staining and toning and evidence of several old light pings. SN 71615. Cal. 10 ga. 30″ Damascus bbls, 2-3/4″ chambers. Full length matted top rib with steel front bead. No. 3 frame. Dbl triggers, extractor, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 3-pt pattern with checkered side panels, nickel oval near toe and 13″ LOP over original skeleton buttplate. Splinter forearm checkered in standard D-grade pattern with Deeley release and steel tip. Receiver is nicely engraved in standard early D-pattern, pointer on left, setter on right, four birds on bottom surrounded by well cut Parker scroll. Accompanied by a PGCA letter describing this gun as a DH 10 ga with 30″ Damascus bbls. Current LOP and weight vary from letter, though there is a record of this gun being returned to Parker for service in late 1892. Weight: 8lb. 6oz. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 80% orig Damascus pattern with a minor ping in right tube by muzzle. Receiver has toned to gun metal gray with a hint or two of orig color in protected areas only. Buttstock and forearm are very good, retaining most of an older aged professionally restored finish (perhaps factory) with scattered hunting bumps and light scratches. Mechanics are very good. SCARCE HIGH CONDITION PARKER BROS GRADE 2 10 GA SHOTGUN WITH PARKER MADE LAMINATED BARRELS.

SN 15056. Cal 10 ga. 30″ Laminated steel bbl, with rare “P” marking indicating these bbls made by Parker Brothers. 2-7/8″ chambers. Full length laminated steel top rib with steel front bead. #3 frame with unstruck bbls weight of 5 lbs. 6 oz. Bbls with SN 6738 on bbl flats though appear to have been with this gun since new and fit perfectly. Dbl triggers, extractors, beautiful round knob pistol grip buttstock is checkered in three-point pattern with Nickel-shield behind top tang and full steel buttplate with 14″ LOP. Splinter forearm with SN 14305 checkered in typical Grade 2 fashion with Deeley release and steel tip. Weight: 9 lbs. 9 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine with bbls and wood having been expertly restored. Bbls retain nearly all of a restored finish and are very unusual, though orig, and are not a matching laminated pattern, more tightly woven pattern on right tube than left, and this is one of those Damascus anomalies that occasionally turn up. Buttstock and forearm are excellent as restored though wood to metal fit is perfect and checkering remains crisp. There are two filled in inserts on sides of shield near wrist that appear old. Receiver retains nearly all of its orig early smoky Parker case colors, starting to tone on bottom, particularly vivid on locks and top. Triggers, trigger guard and thumb push retain most of their orig Nitre-blued finish, with an area of cleaned oxidation on bow. Buttplate is very good with 30-40% toned orig blue remaining and some chemical staining throughout. SN 0152. Cal. 12 ga. 30″ bbls of Decarbonized Steel. CYL & CYL bores. 2-5/8″ chambers. Very early Parker before standard grading system replaced the “Dollar Grade” designation. Rnd body lifter action, back action locks, dbl triggers and extractors. Key fastened steel tipped walnut forearm with straight grip walnut stock. Forearm has two diamond panels checkering while stock has point pattern checkering characteristic of later standardized patterns. LOP: 14-1/4″ over steel shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Metal finish is faded to mottled patina. Bores have light pitting. Wood has aged worn appearance with some heavy dents.
