Light breaks through dark storm clouds, the ship pitching through white tipped waves. The black hulled ship has 3 masts with 3 sails out. The captain is seen at the wheel at the stern of the ship. Housed in a fine period ebonized and gilt carved wood frame SIZE: 18″ x 23-1/2″. Overall: 22-1/2″ x 28″ CONDITION: Craquelure, some inpainting otherwise very good. 9-93529 (2,500-3,500) – Lot 3302
