19th century oil on tin, shows the black and white tug sailing right to left with four figures on deck. Several boats can be seen off bow and stern. Heavy waves with white caps having a seagull in foreground all under blue and white cloud sky. American flag off stern, ships pennant off bow and two other flags. Smoke billows from the single stack having a full Native American figure atop. The pilot house is adorned with a gold eagle and a set of antlers. Signed lower right W.H.H. Housed in a fine antique walnut frame with gold liner. SIZE: 11″ x 15-1/4″. Overall: 15-1/2″ x 19-1/2″ CONDITION: Very good, very minor touch up 9-93531 (1,500-2,000) – Lot 2026
