RARE SQUIRREL WITH NUT DOORSTOP. Circa 1920, Bradley & Hubbard Foundry, West Meriden, Connecticut. This excellent cast-iron example depicting a squirrel on a log eating a nut. Stamped on the back of base “M S”. Reference: The Doorstop Book, John and Nancy Smith, page 158. SIZE: 11-1/2″ h x 9-3/4″ w. CONDITION: Fine casting details with original painted surfaces with normal and expected minor rust spots and minimal chips to paint. Very good overall. 9-91521 (1,500-2,500)
