CARVED SANDALWOOD NECKLACE. Late 18th, early 19th century, China. Pendant of carved sandalwood in form of double gourd. Fashioned with the characters “Great Good Luck” inset with mother of pearl. Chain composed of sandalwood links, either gilded and set with mother of pearl or colored with kingfisher feathers. SIZE: Pendant: 2-1/2” l. CONDITION: Structurally very good with nice color and patina. With minimal and minor losses to beadwork. 7-72725 (500-700)
