HARDWOOD DRESSING BOX. 19th century, China. Rectangular box with hinged lid and hammered butterfly and bat shaped Paktong fittings opening to tray in which is fitted a framed dressing mirror. Box with inset with 2 shadow stones opening to interior fitted with bank of two drawers. Dressing box sides fitted with carrying handles. Raised on small ogee bracket feet. SIZE: 7″ h x 9″ w x 11-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Good overall with old surfaces and some minor warping to frame. 7-72573 (200-300)
