HAN STYLE BRONZE KUEI, SIGNED. 19th century, China. Of archaic bronze Kuei form, the two-handled vessel with Tao Tieh masks and animal form handles. Foot cast with stylized dragons or serpents. Fitted with rosewood top with white jade flower finial. Interior cast with inscription. SIZE: 6-1/2″ h overall. PROVENANCE: From collection of Fritz Hardenbrook by descent through the family. Acquired in Shanghai 1936. CONDITION: Very good. 9-25076 (1,000-1,400)
