LARGE SCHOOLGIRL NEEDLEWORK. 19th Century. American. The large needlework with central red barn flanked by fruit trees, dogs, butterflies, and doves. Further flanked by classical floral filled urns, large floral sprays, and other flowers, trees, birds, and a pair of two-story homes. Wrought with cotton thread on linen backing. Housed in a molded frame under glass. SIZE: Size of needlework: 24-1/2″ h x 58″ l sight. Size of frame: 28″ h x 61-1/2″ l. CONDITION: General discoloration of linen, now a tea color. An area of deterioration to the linen lower right front facing above and to the right of large floral spray. Other wise good. 7-70050 (1,500-2,500)
