HARPER’S FERRY MODEL 1795 FLINTLOCK MUSKET. Cal .69. 44-5/8” round bbl. Large “V / JS” cartouche on the left counterplate. A second “V / MH” cartouche is at the rear of the same surface. The standard eagle head over “P” and “US” sunken cartouches are at the rear of bbl on the left side. “OHIO” is stamped slightly forward of these proof marks. Dated 1815 on the tail of the lockplate. This was the last year that these muskets were made. NSN. CONDITION: Smooth gray patina with light pitting at the rear of bbl. Appears to be original flintlock. There is a crack at the rear lockplate screw and several dents and scratches but the wood is still solid. Lock is fine. 4-50079 FS129 (2,250-3,500)
