HARPER’S FERRY MODEL 1855 RIFLE MUSKET. Cal .58. 40” part oct bbl dated 1859 on the lockplate and bbl. The cartouches on the left side of the stock are visible but not readable under the coat of varnish that has been applied. The nipple remains in the patchbox. NSN. CONDITION: Very light pitting on bbl, lock and bbl bands. Trigger guard and buttplate are covered with light surface rust. Wood has some dents and scratches under the coating of varnish. Lock is good and contains a roll of Maynard primers. 4-49732 FS40 (800-1,500)
