*CASED MATCHED PAIR OF ARRIETA SIDELOCK DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUNS. CAL. 12ga. Matched, consecutively numbered hand detachable sidelock shotguns, 28″ bbls both sets choked pr of MOD/IMPCYL. Both are equipped with narrow tapered plain ribs, double lumps with ejectors and dbl. triggers, the front articulated. Receivers are elaborately engraved with very fine rose and scroll patterns, coin finished with the Arrieta logo in gold on the trigger bow. Both guns have the numbers 1 & 2 at the end of the bbl, extension on the rib, opening lever and on the forearm tip in gold. The wood on both guns is moderately figured with splinter forearms, tear drop side panels and straight grips, 14 5/8″ over white line red recoil pads that the owner ordered when he initially purchased these shotguns. Both stocks have gold initial toe plates bearing the initials “CTB”, the consignors initials and the orig. purchaser of these fine shotguns. Case is green felt lined pig-skin with brass reinforced corners. It contains snap caps. Stock drop is 1-3/8 at the comb and 2″ at the heel with moderate cast off. Weight 7lb. 1oz each. Accompanied by an invoice from Holland & Holland dated 17th, November 1987 transferring these shotguns to a firm in West Hartford, CT. at 2700 pounds. Also, an invoice in the consignors name from a Spanish firm in Madrid dated 1985 ordering these shotguns. SN 33531 & 33532 CONDITION: Excellent to as new showing little or no use. Possibly unfired, retaining virtually all their orig. factory finish to both metal and wood. Bores are brilliant and shiny. The case is equally new. 4-45430 JL174 (10,000-15,000)
