STEVENS MODEL 44 SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. CAL. .32-40. Standard rifle with 26″ oct. to round bbl, Rocky Mountain front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight, uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. SN 25036 CONDITION: Good. Retains an even dark patina on the receiver with 75-80% bbl. blue under a coating of old oil. The receiver has fine pitting overall, wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish. Strong bright bore, slightly frosted in front of the chamber. 4-44599 JL46 (300-600)
