OLD BLACKSMITH MADE TRAP GUN. Made of all cast iron with a 3/8″ square iron rail 34″ long with a 2″ hook at one end. It has a simple built in trigger with a sliding weight that, apparently when tripped, slides down the rail hitting the striker, which fires a center fire cartridge, possible a 12ga. shot shell. No indication of who made it, where it was made or what its actual purpose was. CONDITION: The best one of these I have ever seen. (The only one) It is heavily crusted with rust and pitting. Obviously used out of doors, a lot, to catch chicken thieves. 4-45393 Z260 (1,000-1,500)
