*SAM COLT COMMEMORATIVE SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. CAL. 44-40. All blued finish with 7-1/2″ bbl, gold decorations on bbl, cylinder and frame. Marked with inscriptions on both sides of bbl and “1 of 1000” on frame. The unfluted cylinder has likenesses of Colt as a young sailor on one side and the traditional bearded Sam Colt. Accompanied by a second fluted cylinder and fitted with eagle on the other side, rampant Colt black composition grips. Accompanied by its gray velvet-lined fitted oak case with a Lucite block containing a hand forged nail with a statement that it was removed from the Colt Armorers’ residences during restoration. SN SA49063 CONDITION: Appears to be new and unfired with only the hint of a cylinder line. 4-45142 JL167 (700-1,000)
