SLANT BREECH SHARPS CARBINE. CAL. 54. Standard saddle ring carbine with 21-3/8″ bbl, tiny replacement brass front sight with three leaf rear sight. Uncheckered wood with single brass bbl band and brass buttplate. The left side of the receiver and bbl band are fitted with a sling bar and ring. SN None visible. CONDITION: Fair to good. All marks, legends and serial numbers have been polished off leaving the metal bright with moderate to heavy pitting at the forearm and on the lock plate and receiver. The wood is battered, dark and oil stained with some splintering at the foreend tip. The bore is strong with good shine and scattered pitting. 4-45482 JL323 (1,250-1,750)
