B.S.A. ENFIELD MUSKET WITH SNIDER CONVERSION. CAL. 57 Snider. Standard Enfield musket with Snider conversion breech block marked “B.S.A. CO.” with a locking latch on the block. 3-bbl bands with slotted head ramrod, usual lock plate markings dated 1871 with B.S.A. cartouche on the right side of the stock. SN N293 CONDITION: Good to very good. The bbl retains about 90% plum-blue finish. Receiver, breech block, lock plate and hammer are a silver-gray. Brass has been polished bright and coated with varnish. Wood is sound and retains most of an old finish. Strong bright bore with pitting. 4-45285 JL231 (500-700)
